Summer Camp FUN for ages 5 and up! Our 10 week flexible schedule begins Monday, June 15th and runs through Friday August 21st.

About the Camp

Daily activities will include: Open gym, group activities, weekly field trips and outdoor adventures (weather permitting). Children will receive instruction in many of the programs offered at Flying High Sports & Rec Center. We will also have weekly science experiments, amazing art projects and so much more!

We offer Drop-in Days on Mondays and Fridays (before and after care is also available) and Pizza Pajama Parties every Friday! Kids can wear their pajamas all day! The Friday Fun includes: Open gym, games, prizes, pizza and if there's time, an age appropriate movie.

Regular: Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 4:00 pm

Cost

Register 1 to 5 Weeks for $192.50 per week/per camper
Register 6 to 9 Weeks for $175.00 per week/per camper
ALL 10 Weeks $157.50 per week/per camper
**Weekly cost includes all field trips and pajama pizza parties. Cost does not include lunch. However, a complete lunch may be purchased at our Cosmic Cafe' for $5.00 per day.

** All payments must be made one week prior to the week for which the child is registered.

Drop- in Days/Field Trip days

Monday and/or Friday, 9:00-4:00pm
**Pre-register or walk-ins are both welcome on Mondays and Fridays!
** Fun Field Trips every week (days will vary between Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). These days must be pre-registered One Week Prior to the outing.
*** Feel free to mix and match Drop-In days and Field Trip days.

Cost

$40.00 per camper/per day (Cost must be paid in FULL at time of check-in).
** Cost does not include lunch. Lunch will be provided on Friday only. Discounts: Pre-register and pay in FULL prior to June 1st for 9 Drop-In and/or Field Trip Days and receive 1day free (pre-register and pay in FULL for 18 Drop-in/Field Trip Days and receive 2 days free, etc.).

Before and After Care

Before care is available to all campers from 8:00 am – 9:00 am, Monday –Friday. After care is available to all campers from 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm, Monday – Friday.

Cost

Before: $20.00 per week or $4.00 per day/per child.
After: $30.00 per week or $6.00 per day/per child.
***Payment for before and after care is due at time of registration.

Reminders

**** Deadline for Early Bird Savings Options is June 1st.
**** Registration and Payment is due in FULL every Monday one week prior to children attending camp.
**** ALL Field Trips must be Pre-registered and Paid in FULL one week prior to Field Trip.
**** All campers (full time or part time) will be charged a one time supplemental insurance fee ($15.00).
****Membership is not necessary to participate in any of our Summer Camp Options.

Frequently Asked Questions about Flying High Summer Camp

Q. How old does my child need to be in order to attend camp?
A. All children ages 5 and up are welcome to join us.

Q. Can my child attend camp if we are not members of Flying High?
A. Yes! Membership is not necessary.

Q. What is the staff/camper ratio?
A. Our ratio is approximately 6/1. There is always additional supervision daily.

Q. What will my child do all day?
A. Kids will be busy, busy, busy ALL day long! They will participate in activities related to each weekly theme including: group games, safe science experiments, story time, sports, arts and crafts, gymnastics, martial arts, yoga, nature hikes, scavenger hunts, and so much more!

Q. Can I request that my child be grouped with his/her friends or siblings?
A. Yes. Children are normally grouped based on age, but exceptions can be made. Please request this on your registration form.

Q. What are Drop-in Days?
A. Drop-in Days are every Monday and Friday from 9 am- 4pm. There are no other drop-in days available. Pre-registration is not required for Drop-In Days, however payment must be paid in FULL at time of check-in (Monday and/or Friday morning before 9 am).

Q. When/What are the Field Trips?
A. Most field trips are scheduled for Tuesdays, with a few on Wednesdays or Thursdays. Field Trips will include pool days, a Windy City Thunderbolts games, Lincoln Park Zoo, roller skating, bowling, miniature golfing, nature walks, and more! More information will be provided at time of registration.

Q. What is Friday Pizza Pajama Party?
A. Children get to wear their pajamas ALL day! Children will participate in games, win prizes, play in the gym, and of course eat pizza! Open gym will be followed by an age appropriate movie.

Q. What should my child wear?
A. Children should wear GYM SHOES EACH DAY. Children will be actively playing both indoors and outdoors on a daily basis. Sandals or flip-flops may be kept in cubbies.

Q. What should my child bring everyday?
A. Each child will be assigned a cubby when they arrive at Flying High. This cubby will belong to the child for the entire time they are at camp. Children should keep a bottle of sunscreen and change of clothes (just in case!) in their cubby at all times. Children should bring a bottle of water, a bag lunch, and a snack everyday (except Friday). Children are also encouraged to bring a favorite stuffed animal, toy, book, etc. to keep in their cubby all week.

Q. When is payment due?
A. Payment is due a minimum of one week prior to the date your child will begin attending summer camp. ALL payments are made at the front desk.

Q. What if my child only signed up for one week but has so much fun he/she wants to come back?
A. Great! You do not need to pay the supplemental insurance fee again. Simply fill out a registration form and turn it in to the front desk with payment for each additional week. Payment for additional weeks must be received by Monday morning of the first additional week.

Q. What discounts are offered?
A. LOTS!! Take advantage of our Early Bird Special! Register and pre-pay in FULL by JUNE 1st for 9 weeks of camp and receive the 10th week free!! Or, register and pre-pay for 9 drop-in and/or field trip days and receive 1 drop-in/field trip day free!! Receive 1 day free for every 9 drop-in/field trip days that you sign up for! We also offer a 10% discount for each additional sibling that signs up!

Q. Is before and/or after care available?
A. Yes! Before care is available Monday-Friday from 8 am – 9 am. The fee for before care is $20.00 per week or $4.00 per day/per child. After care is available Monday-Friday from 4 pm – 5:30 pm. The fee for after care is $30.00 per week or $6.00 per day/per child.

Q. Can I take advantage of before and/or after care on Drop-In days if I am not pre-registered?
A. Yes! Payment for both care options will be made to the front desk at time of check-in.

Q. What is the drop-off/pick-up procedure?
A. Parents will drop-off and pick-up their children on the second floor. Parents are required to sign their children in and out every day. We also require that parents leave an emergency contact number each day.

Q. What if I have to pick up my child early? Or drop my child off late?
A. Please provide a 1 day notice to the camp director to be sure we will be in the facility at the time of pick-up or drop-off.

Q. What if someone else will be picking my child up from camp?
A. Please notify the camp director of this as soon as possible.

Q. What if I am running late to pick my child up from camp?
A. Please give us a courtesy call to make us aware of the situation. We will keep your child in our care until you arrive. Based on the situation, you may be charged a fee for the extra time.

Q. What emergency procedures are in place?
A. ALL Flying High staff is trained in first aid and CPR. A first-aid kit is on site and easily accessible. Staff always carries first-aid kits and cell phones when children are out of the building. Fire, tornado, power outage, and serious injury procedures are in place and staff is fully trained in each area. It is the parent’s responsibility to provide an emergency phone contact daily.
