Our caring day camp staff keeps your camper entertained with activities that keep their brains and bodies learning and engaged all day long. We offer a flexible and convenient full-day and half-day schedule including extended care options perfect for today’s working parent.

Gymnastics Camp

NEW this summer! One week Gymnastics Camps!! Over 25 years ago we opened our doors to our first class of 35 gymnastics students and today more than 1500 gymnasts come through our doors each week for class.  We are so excited to spread the love for gymnastics and launch a gymnastics camp!!  First time gymnasts or experienced gymnasts welcomed!!  Ages 5 and Up. This one week camp is a great opportunity to introduce your child to the sport of gymnastics.  Campers will learn new skills or perfect the skills they already have!

Girls Gymnastics Camp: June 26-June 29, 2-3:30pm daily (Register by June 12)

Girls Gymnastics Camp: July 24-July 27, 2-3:30pm daily (Register by July 10)

Boys Gymnastics Camp: August 7-11, 2-3:30pm daily (Register by July 24)

Summer Camp 2017

Summer Camp will run June 12-August 18 with bonus days of August 21 and August 22.  Our Summer Camp is a popular pick for area parents looking to make sure their child’s summer break is well balanced with fun, discovery & learning. Kids ages 4-12 years old are welcome to join us for the entire summer.  Or join us for part of the summer thanks to our flexi-schedule which is perfect for the child and family on the go!

Because Flying High understands the needs of today's modern parent we proudly offer extended care options. We offer FREE Before and After care!! Before Care starts at 8am and After Care ends at 5:30pm.

Winter Break Camp 2016

Winter Break camp will run Dec 22 & Dec 23, Dec 26-Dec 30 and Jan 2-Jan 6. Camp runs from 9am-4pm daily with extended care available.  Camps are for children ages 4-10.  

This year's Winter Break Camp is Themed FH Polar Express.  Arts & crafts will include build your own snow globes, build your own gingerbread house.  There will be a Field Trip Tues 12/27 to the Winter Wonderland Fest at Navy Pier and a Field Trip Tues 1/3 to the DuPage Children's Museum.

Fall Break Camp 2017

Fall Break Camp dates for 2017 coming soon!  Camp runs from 9am-4pm daily with extended care options available.  Camps are for children ages 4-10.  

2016's Fall Break Camp was Themed "Moving and Grooving" based on the 70's.  Arts and crafts included pet rocks and a disco ball.  Experiments included lava lamps, shaving cream, and tye dye with sharpies! Plus a Field Trip to the bowling alley, Open Gym time, and organized games!! 


Spring Break Camp 2017

Camp runs from 9am-4pm daily with extended care available.  Camps are for children ages 4-10.  .

Spring Break Camp will run March 27-March 31 and April 17-April 21.  Field Trip Days will be March 28th and April 18th to the Peggy Noteaert Nature Museum.  This year's Spring Break Camp is themed Buggin' Out!

Monday-Friday, 9am - 4pm (cost includes field trip)

$230 per child/per week


Daily Options:

Half Day (9am - 11:30am or 1:30 - 4pm)

Field Trip Day (9am – 4pm)

 $65 per child/per day


Extended Care (8am-9am and 4pm-5:30pm)

All Campers (full time or part time) will be charged a non-refundable administration fee of $35 at time of registration.

Camp price does NOT include the price of lunch. Campers may either bring their own lunch or purchase a lunch package at our Cosmic Cafe!

Flying High is proud to offer discounts that enable siblings to share in the Camp experience together! Receive 10% off for second sibling and receive 15% off for third sibling!! Four plus siblings are FREE!


Registration and payment is due one week prior to children’s start of camp. Walk-in spots may not be available on certain days in an effort to ensure we maintain optimal child/staff ratios. Please call ahead to confirm if space is available. All Field Trip campers must be registered one full week before the scheduled field trip.

What emergency procedures are in place?

ALL Flying High staff is trained in First Aid and CPR.  A first-aid kit is on site and easily accessible.  Staff members carry first-aid supplies and cell phones when children are out of the building.  Fire, tornado, power outage, and serious injury procedures are in place and staff is fully trained in each area.  It is the parent’s responsibility to provide an emergency phone contact daily.  

What if I am running late to pick up my child from camp?

Please give us a courtesy call to make us aware of the situation.  We will keep your child in our care until you arrive (see Parent Handbook for exceptions).  Based on the situation, you may be charged a fee for the extra time.

What if someone else will be picking my child up from camp?

Please notify staff of this as soon as possible.  You may leave a note for staff, tell a staff member in person at drop off, or call or email as soon as possible.  Children will not be released to an unauthorized pick up pick-up person!

What if I have to pick up my child early or drop my child off late?

Please notify the Camp Director and/or Front Desk as soon as possible.  You can do so by emailing mainoffice@flyinghighgym.com or calling 708-352-3099.

What is the drop-off/pick-up procedure?

 Parents will drop-off and pick-up their child in our homeroom on the second floor.  An adult MUST sign the child in and out of camp every day! 

What if we are members and my child has class on camp day?

No problem!  If your child is attending camp and has a Flying High class anytime during camp hours, our staff will be sure to get your child to and from class! 

Is Before and/or After Care available?

Yes!  Before Care is available Monday-Friday from 8am-9am.  There is NO fee for Before Care!  After Care is available Monday-Friday from 4-5:40pm.  The fee for After Care is $10.00 per child/per day. 

What savings are offered?

You will receive savings if your sign up multiple siblings.  

What if my child only signed up for one week but has so much fun he/she wants to come back?

Great!  You do not need to pay the supplemental insurance fee again.  Simply stop at the front desk to sign up and make payment for additional days/weeks.  Payment for additional weeks must be received by Monday morning of the first additional week or by the morning of for each additional day.

When is payment due?

Payment is due before your child will begin attending summer camp.  All payments are made at the front desk.

How do I purchase lunch for my child/children from the Cosmic Café?

If you would like to purchase a lunch package, you can do so from the Cosmic Café for $5.00.  Packages include a main course, side item, and dessert.  Payment can be made in advance via cash, credit card, or check at the front desk.  Cash payments may be made in the camp room when lunch order is placed.  When paying with cash in the camp room, please have exact change.   Change may be unavailable in the mornings. 

All lunch orders are placed during sign in time.  Forms will be available each morning in our homeroom on the second floor.

Lunch packages and other café items may also be charged to your Flying High account.  Please see a staff member to set up a charge account.

Snack items may also be purchased from the café via cash or Flying High charge account.

What should my child bring every day?

Each child will be given a cubby when they arrive at Flying High.  This cubby will belong to the child for the entire time he/she is at camp.  Children should keep a bottle of sunscreen and change of clothes (just in case!) in their cubbie at all times.  Children should bring a bottle of water (for outside time) and a bag lunch every day (except Thursdays) or money to purchase lunch at our Cosmic Café.  A snack will provided by Flying High each day but children are more than welcome to bring one or to bring money to purchase one from the Cosmic Café. 

Remember, Flying High field trip shirts are required for field trip days!

What should my child wear?

Children should wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing each day.  We will be participating in activities indoors and outdoors on a daily basis.  While in the building, children usually do not wear shoes.  While out of the building, it is important for children to wear athletic shoes so he/she can walk comfortably and participate in outdoor sports and games!  Please make sure your child wears athletic shoes every day or has a pair of athletic shoes to keep in his/her cubbie to use when needed.

All children that attend a field trip day will be given a Flying High field trip shirt.  It is REQUIRED, for safety reasons, that ALL children attending field trips wear this shirt!!  If your child does not wear his/her field trip shirt, he/she may not be permitted to attend the field trip.  Wearing this shirt is VERY important.

What is Pizza Pajama Party?

Every Thursday children get to wear their pajamas all day!! Children will participate in Open Gym, games, arts and crafts, and will have pizza for lunch!  We will spend the afternoon watching a different, age-appropriate movie every week.  Pizza Pajama Party days are a great way for children to unwind and relax after an action-packed week of camp!

How will I know what my will be doing all week?

All summer campers (members and nonmembers) will be required to fill out a registration form complete with an email address.  Through this address, you will receive a schedule of activities, important updates and reminders for the week(s) your child will be attending camp.  

When/what are the field trips?

Most field trips are scheduled for Tuesdays.  Examples of field trips include Oakbrook Indoor Pool and Outdoor Splash Pad, The Emerald City Children’s Theater, and Lincoln Park Zoo.  More specific information regarding field trips will be included in our Parent Handbook.

All children that attend a field trip day will be given a Flying High field trip shirt.  It is REQUIRED, for safety reasons, that ALL children attending field trips wear this shirt!!  If your child does not wear his/her field trip shirt, he/she may not be permitted to attend the field trip.  Wearing this shirt is VERY important.

Can I request that my child be grouped with his/her friends or siblings?

Yes!  Children are normally grouped based on age (ages 4-6 and ages 7-12), but exceptions can be made.

What will my child do all day?

Kids will be busy, busy, busy all day long!! They will participate in activities including: group games, safe science experiments, sports, arts and crafts, gymnastics, martial arts, zumba, playtime at the park, Open Gym, field trips, Pizza Pajama Party Thursdays and so much more!!

What is the staff/camper ratio?

 The ratio varies from 5/1-10/1 depending on the activity.

Can my child attend camp if we are not members of Flying High?

YES!  Membership is not necessary.

Where can I find specific information regarding all of your policies (i.e. refund policy, absence policy, discipline policy, etc)?

All parents will be given a Parent Handbook at the time of registration.  This handbook outlines all of our summer camp policies and included other important information.  It is the parents’ responsibility to read the handbook and to become familiar with our policies and procedures.

How old does my child need to be in order to attend camp?

All children ages 4-12 years are welcomed to join the fun.
