Our Rising
Stars Recreational Program consists of Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced
gymnastics classes. Our concentration is on having fun while providing
gymnastics instruction that will build strong basic skills on the bars,
beam, vault and the floor exercise.
CLASS
DESCRIPTIONS
BEGINNER
GYMNASTICS
This gymnastics class is for girls ages 6 and up. Girls will learn basic skills on every event. Each child will move on to Intermediate level when she has body awareness and control, has mastered all the Level 1 skills and the coaches feel she is ready.
INTERMEDIATE GYMNASTICS
In this gymnastics class, girls are working on passing Level 2 and Level 3 skills which include handsprings and flip flops on floor, cartwheels and handstands on beam, baby giants and front hip circles on bars. After Intermediate, gymnasts can proceed to either the Advanced class or Pre-Team. Gymnasts must show determination to learn in order to graduate from Intermediate.
ADVANCED GYMNASTICS
In this gymnastics class, the girls are working on skills that are Level 3 and higher. This class is for girls exhibiting a higher level of gym skills while not being required to compete. They do not learn routines, but are allowed to learn more advanced skills.
